Jude, SJE Class of 2019, completed an internship at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Utah, where he engaged in cancer research and conducted hands-on experiments alongside some of the nation's leading cancer specialists. We want to celebrate Jude and all the SJE Eagles who are making a difference in the world!

Cindy, SJE class of 2018, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercer University in 2026 and has been accepted to the Mercer School of Medicine. During her time at Mercer, Cindy was one of 13 students chosen during the spring of 2023 to receive a total of $39,000 in funding to study abroad in Vietnam through the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship program, gaining global experience in the field of medicine. We can’t wait to see all the lives that will be impacted through her inspiring journey!

From the classroom to the clinic to the CEO seat — Nwamaka, SJE Class of 1999, is redefining vision care with purpose and style. As an accomplished optometrist and founder of Anwuli Eyewear, her own specialty brand designed with African-American customers in mind, she’s creating frames that celebrate beauty, comfort, and representation. We’re proud to see her making an impact both in eye health and entrepreneurship!

Candace, SJE class of 2014, continues to inspire others with her academic excellence and compassionate care for others! After attending Northwestern University, she was honored with the prestigious Madeleva Award from Saint Mary’s College for her outstanding academic record, service to others and leadership in the Dual-Degree Autism Studies and Speech Pathology Program. Today, she is making a meaningful impact by helping students thrive through communication and care in the Effingham County School System in south Georgia. We are proud to celebrate her dedication and service to others!
