Archdiocesan Financial Aid

Active Catholic families (as verified by your family's pastor on the Parish Verification Form) are eligible to apply for financial aid from the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Financial need for assistance is determined by FACTS.

Goizueta Scholarship 

Hispanic/Latino students are eligible to apply for the Goizueta Scholarship. Financial need for assistance is determined by FACTS. Families must also complete the Goizueta Scholars application form.

To qualify, all students must be a resident of Georgia and meet one of the following criteria:

• Students who are entering Pre-K, Kindergarten, or 1st grade whose families demonstrate a financial need (as determined by FACTS), OR
• Students in Grades 2nd and above who have attended a public school for at least 1 school year whose families demonstrate a financial need (as determined by FACTS), OR
• Students in Grades 2nd and above who qualify for an exemption 

Families must complete a separate application for the GOAL Scholarship in addition to the FACTS application. 

GOAL is the official student scholarship organization (SSO) for the schools sponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta. All students receiving GOAL Awards have demonstrated financial need as determined by a third-party analysis of a family's ability to pay tuition. 

Schools in the Archdiocese of Atlanta reserve the right to decline funding from SSOs that do not award scholarships based on financial need. In addition, the maximum amount of SSO scholarships awarded to students in the Archdiocesan schools is the lowest of the following: student's calculated financial need; 80% of the tuition rate applicable to the student; an index of per-pupil public school spending in Georgia; and the maximum cap established by the local school. 

GOAL. welcomes the transfer of funding from one SSO to another as allowed by state law. In these instances, the school reserves the right to award GOAL scholarships in accordance with local procedures. 

St. John the Evangelist Catholic School is a GA Promise approved school.

"Signed into law in 2024 through Senate Bill 233, the Georgia Promise Scholarship Program is aimed to empower families to pursue exceptional educational programs through nonpublic schooling, including private school and home study. Should eligible families choose to leave public school (or forgo attending as a new kindergartener) to participate, the Georgia Promise Scholarship will allow families to use funds for private school tuition and fees, required textbooks, tutoring services, curriculum, physician/therapist services, transportation services, and other approved expenses."
