When are school tours scheduled?
Contact the Admissions Office to sign up for a tour. We will begin with tours for the 2027-2028 school year in October of 2026.
When may I apply to SJE for the 2027-2028 school year?
Applications open October 6th, 2026 for the 2027-2028 school year and will be available online.
Our preferred application deadline is in February 2027.
We will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis as space allows.
Do we need to be Catholic to attend SJE?
No. SJE welcomes students of all faiths.
Approximately 25% of our student body is made up of non-Catholic students.
What is the age cutoff for admission?
Students must be the following ages by September 1st to be considered for admission into the grades listed below.

We cannot make exceptions to this guideline.
Do you accept exemption for Immunizations?
No. The Archdiocese of Atlanta does not allow religious exemptions for immunizations. All students enrolled in an Archdiocesan school must have a completed Immunization Form 3231 at all times while enrolled at SJE.
Is financial aid available?
Yes! The Archdiocese of Atlanta and St. John the Evangelist Catholic School offer several financial aid opportunities to qualifying families based upon documented need.
The application for admission and the application for financial aid are separate, but the processes run simultaneously.
To be considered for financial aid, a family must first apply for admission to the school, then for financial aid through FACTS Grant & Aid. Completed 2025 taxes are required for this application.
The application for financial aid will be available online in early January and is due February 28th each year.

Is there before and after school care?
Yes! Before school care is available as early as 6:50 a.m. daily.
We offer a vibrant after school program that begins at the end of the school day and ends at 6:00 p.m. Students have time to play, snack time, and homework time. Enriching activities like baking, sewing, chess, and karate are also offered in the after-school program.
Are teachers at SJE certified?
Yes! Teachers hold their certification from the GA Department of Education and are highly qualified.
Many of our teachers have advanced degrees.
When will we be notified of the admissions decision?
Admission decisions for the 2027-2028 school year will be mailed in early April for applications submitted by the February deadline.
Others will be notified on a rolling basis as space allows.
